I just want to know if there is some problem regarding some bluetooth usb dongles not supported by LabVIEW irrespective of the fact that they are working fine for windows applications.
My bluetooth device is X-Micro Bluetooth USB Dongle 2.0 Plus.

Hi Inderjeet,

You must use a device that is supported by the Microsoft Bluetooth Stack or the new WIDCOMM stack in order to use it in LabVIEW.
According to this product site http://www.overclockers.com.au/article.php?id=203592, "Windows XP does not yet support Bluetooth devices ?off-the-shelf?, so it was necessary to manually install drivers". It is a very old article though.

Do you have to use a seperate driver CD to install this device?
If so, do you get any windows uncertisfied drivers warning?

If a USB dongle is not supported by the Microsoft Bluetooth stack (and therefore LabVIEW) then this is a Microsoft Issue.

Hopefully this helps!!

Well thanks Aashish
Problem was same what you said that it did gave a warning when I installed drivers from the CD given with the dongles. But it worked fine for all sorts windows applications but didn't for LabVIEW. Hopefully I found out a solution for the problem and now my VIs are working fine over same bluetooth.
Thanks anyway.
regards
