What is simplest way to toggle an NI 9481 output?

Sorry to have such a simple problem, but I am very new at
this; I simply want to switch something on or off at predetermined intervals.
Like, OFF-2SEC, ON-10SEC, OFF-4SEC, ON-37SEC? like that. Maybe long strings
like this that repeat. Maybe have several repeating strings that I can choose
from to run.

I bought a USB - NI 9481, thinking that it was a
simple device that would do the job, 4 relay switch with no inputs (not
needed). So it arrives, and I have to install over 730MB of ?stuff? that came
with it, but I can?t find anything that will do what I want! Do I really have
to buy a $1,200 application (Labview basic) to get this thing to DO anything? I
talked with NI support and they were very understanding and had suggestions
(buy and learn C programming), but I thought I would try to post this first.
