Hi,

I'm using bq20z90 and interesting to clear the permanent failure. I got the PFKEY from the battery seller,  and enter it in the follow way:

1. Write first byte to manufacture access: Device ID->0x00->First word Low Byte->First word->Hight Byte
2.Write second byte to manufacture access: Device ID->0x00->Second word Low Byte->Second word Hight Byte

Does the sequence correct? The problem that the failure still exists after this operation....

I also tried to read the PFKEY from the battery,  but I get and unexpected 0x4 before the 4 bytes of PFKEY. This happen with several batteries. There is no such a problem with other commands. Any advice?

I hope someone can help me with this problem...

Thanks in advance,
Alex

What is a bq20z90? I can't find an NI product with that number. If it's not NI hardware, are you using NI software to connect to it? What software?

Since National Instruments does not sell/support anything related to this product, you need to find a completely different web site I think.

Hi Alex,Welcome to the NI forums! For any errors you are getting programming the bq20z90, I would suggest contacting the manufacturer (<a href="http://www.ti.com" target="_blank">Texas Instruments</a>) to find out more about them and how to resolve them. If you are programming it by sending digital signals from National Instruments hardware, and believe the hardware is not performing correcly (or the way you desire), please let us know which hardware you are using, a description of what you are trying to do, along with which lines are / are not working. Dennis and AK - Thanks for the help along the way :smileyhappy:Best Regards,Message Edited by David L. on 04-03-2008 09:01 AM
