I have a NI-6501 USB daq, I have been able to configure mxbase to do what I want it to do with the DO's, now I am trying to create a simple vi that will allow me to just give a line +5 VDC to see if I can see it. By doing this it will allow me to see if I have a switch on or not, which is all I need help with. If I can do this then I can adapt that vi into a vi that I need to use. Any information and help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,~Dan

Hi Dan,I'm not sure I understand your question. Your subject line says "Reading a digital input..." however your post says "create a simple vi that will allow me to just give a line +5 VDC to see if I can see it". If you are simply wanting to read a digital input line, I would recommend taking a look at the simple examples that are installed with the DAQmx Base driver. See this KnowledgeBase for the locations of the DAQmx Base examples on your OS.
