I'm wondering if daq assistant can control the scxi relays. I'm thinking of doing it with timer (5 sec. ON/OFF).
This is something new to me so it'll be nice if I can atleast see an example.

Here's my hardwares;
PCI-6259
SCXI-1000
SCXI-1161 - General purposed relay

Thanks!

Hello FlipTek,

You cannot use the DAQ Assistant to program the SCXI-1161, but there are several examples that you can look at. Here?s how you can view all of the examples for the SCXI-1161:

1. Open LabVIEW and go to Help>> Find Examples?

2. In the bottom left of the NI Example Finder window select ?add device?? from the Hardware drop down menu.

3. In the left hand column of the Configure Example Finder window select the SCXI-1161, move it over to the right column, and select ok.

4. Now select the SCXI-1161 from the Hardware drop down menu and check ?Limit results to hardware.?

This will filter the examples so that only examples that work with the selected hardware are displayed. You should have several examples in the Hardware Input and Output>> DAQmx and Hardware Input and Output>> Modular Instruments>> NI-Switch folders. If you are missing the DAQmx or NI-Switch examples you need to download the appropriate driver. You can download these drivers at www.ni.com/download by selecting ?Drivers and Updates? and searching for the appropriate driver. After you donwload and install these drivers the examples should show up as described above.

I hope this helps, and have a great afternoon!
