Hi everyone,

I`m newbie here and my knowledge about NI products is rather not impressive. Actually I`m working on my first project. I need to control stepper motor with DIO card (6533). It is very important to use free or evaulation version software. Is VC++ a good idea ?
Is there any possibility to control NI 6533 card using VC++ 2005 Express Edition? Anything you could tell me would be very helpful.

Thank you

Hello Muzykon.

Thank you for posting to the NI Discussion Forums.

Using our DAQ devices with Express Editions of Microsoft products is not a supported feature of our DAQmx drivers. I would recommend instead using the Evaluation version of LabVIEW, which is good for 30 days. This will work great with the 6533 and will allow you to control the motor that you desire. You can get an evaluation version of LabVIEW at:

Good luck on your application and if you have any further questions, please let us know. We would be happy to help!
