we have following components:

BNC-2090

TBX-68T

PCI 6024E

 

our application requires:

measurement of torque and speed from an Vibrometer transducer.

control of temperature (120 deg C) at three points using a cartridge heater and three thermocouples.

and measurement of oil film capacitance.

 

don't know what else we needed to achieve these requirements? and how we can connect all these components?

Hi Madan,
which sensor for measuring do you want to use? I think your "PCI 6024E" could be enough, becasuse there are 16 AI.

thanks for your reply!
we wants to measure the torque and speed data from the torque transducer (voltage signal) and wants to maintain a constant temperature of 120deg C&nbsp;of the shaft throughout the test by using a closed feedback system (3TCs, Cartridge heater, Solid state relay). there might be another measurement of voltage as well to measure the minimum oil film thickness&nbsp;of oil via Total capacitance method.&nbsp;
i don't know whether one card PCI-6024E will be enough to handle these applications?
a technician in department suggested that we might need an additional card. but his and my knowledge of data acquisition systems are very poor. we really don't know what we actually need to achieve the above mentioned&nbsp;applications. its funny situation we are just&nbsp;flowing with the tide.
