9211 Installation Problem

If you have a USB-9211 (with USB-9161 carrier) you will not be able to use the DAQ Assistant.  This device is supported only by NI-DAQmx Base, not NI-DAQmx.  You will need a USB-9211A (with USB-9162 carrier) in order to use the DAQ Assistant.

Hi Jmc-
No, the USB-9161 carrier and NI 9211 combination is referred to as a USB-9211 and is not supported by NI-DAQmx or the DAQ Assistant.  See my above post for more information.
If you would like to get started programming with NI-DAQmx Base for your device, check out the examples in \Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.0\examples\daqmxbase\dynamic
